The Ivy Tech Foundation needed an impact report that went beyond listing annual achievements. The goal was to show how donor support directly fuels student success, while aligning with the Foundation’s message, “Powered by purpose. Fueled by you.” Previous reports felt static and informational. This year’s vision called for something more engaging, emotionally resonant, and story-driven.
Elevating Stories. Clarifying Data.
Strengthening Connection.
From the outset, this project was deeply collaborative. Working closely with the Foundation team, I helped shape the report’s structure and narrative from the very beginning. The approach centered on keeping students at the heart of the story while ensuring impact data remained clear and meaningful.
Student profiles and quotes were woven throughout the report, serving as the connective tissue between data points. These firsthand stories helped translate numbers into lived experiences, showing the real-world impact of donor support in a way charts alone could not.
Visually, I focused on clarity, hierarchy, and momentum:
Clean layouts that guide the reader naturally
Bold pull quotes to amplify student voices
Purposeful use of color and typography to reinforce the brand
Infographic-style sections to simplify complex metrics
The result is an impact report that feels vibrant, intentional, and human, reinforcing the Foundation’s mission while deepening engagement with donors and stakeholders.
